Brooklyn Chinese-American Association Sixth Avenue Senior Center

The Brooklyn Chinese-American Association (BCA) Sixth Avenue Senior Center was established in 2005 to meet the distinctive needs of Asian seniors in Bay Ridge and Sunset Park neighborhoods.  In 2012, the Center successfully secured funding from New York City Department for the Aging (DFTA) and is now one of the DFTA funded Neighborhood Senor Centers.  With this valuable funding,  more nutritious meals and a greater variety of cultural, educational and recreational programs and activities are provided to the senior citizens:

  • Breakfast
  • Congregate lunch
  • Assistance in applying for entitlements
  • Dance and singing classes
  • Chinese opera classes
  • ESOL classes and educational programs
  • Computer classes
  • Physical exercises and fitness classes
