Immediately Available Job Position:
Teach daily education program for the class. Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of children’s performance, behavior, social development, and physical health. Prepare and design specialized teaching materials for English language learning programs. Create activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development such as games, arts and crafts, music, field trips, and other special events. Participate in regular meeting with class team to discuss plans and evaluate progress of children and program. Coordinate the involvement of parents in all activities in the educational aspects of the program by encouraging parent participation in the classroom, holding regular parent-teacher conferences, and holding parent-teacher workshops. Assess students’ development, cognitive, and social needs and provide developmentally appropriate instructions to meet their needs. Design teaching materials to aid the students to adjust to a new social and cultural environment in the U.S. Substitute in another classroom and center if emergency arises. Perform other duties as assigned by the Center Supervisor and Education Director. Can communicate in the Chinese language with the Chinese community verbally and in writing.
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, English or related field. Foreign degree equivalency is acceptable.
Full-time; M-F; 40 hours per week
