Crime Victims Assistance

Brooklyn Chinese-American Association (BCA) provides a variety of Crime Victims Assistance services which are funded by New York State Office of Victim Services.  Partnering with local police precincts and other agencies, BCA targets addressing the various needs of the crime victims.  The Crime Victims Assistance services include the following:

  • Crime victims compensation (for medical expenses, damaged items, lost earnings and related fees)
  • Crime reporting assistance
  • Crime victims assistance hotline
  • Accompaniment to police precincts, District Attorney’s office, and courts
  • Referral and case management
  • Counseling
  • Advocacy and follow up

In addition, we also conduct crime prevention and public safety workshops in collaboration with local police precincts.
